Privacy Policy

This is a small, personally-run site. I'm Chris Naylor, based in Wynyard, Stockton-on-Tees, and I built and maintain Smart Home Solutions on my own. This page explains what happens to your data when you use it.

Contact form

If you use the "Get in touch" form, the name, email address and message you submit are processed by Netlify (our form-handling provider) and forwarded to me. I use this only to reply to you: it's not added to a mailing list, sold, or shared with anyone else. I keep submissions for as long as I need them to deal with your message, then delete them periodically.

Cookies and analytics

This site doesn't set its own cookies and doesn't run any analytics or tracking scripts.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site, clearly marked, go to Amazon and Octopus Energy as part of the Amazon Associates programme and an Octopus referral scheme (see the disclosure in the footer of the homepage for details). Once you click through, you leave this site, and Amazon's or Octopus's own cookies, tracking and privacy policies take over, not this one. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask what personal data I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, or ask me to stop using it. To do any of that, just use the contact form on the About section and say what you'd like.

I may update this page occasionally as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
